Do you live in Weston and interested in playing organized youth football? This is place to find information for Weston youth players looking to play in an established program.
For the past 4 seasons Weston players have been playing within the Westport PAL program for tackle (grades 5 -8), flag(grades1-8) and modified (grades3-4).
During the 2021 football season, Weston had more players playing youth football than ever. We fielded Weston only teams in the Westport flag from grades 1-8. Weston players also made up around 50% of the Westport PAL 6, 7 and 8 grade tackle teams.
Westport PAL has been in existence for decades and provides a mature organization that provides Weston players opportunities to play various versions of organized football in grades 1-8. Together Westport and Weston has been able to field more competitive tackle teams than each town could field independently, particularly when competing against towns that are larger than the two combined.

The House Flag Football Program is for 1st-8th grade boys and girls. This NFL-based Flag program provides a fun and safe football experience with NFL team jerseys and flag sets that each player can keep and is guided by NFL Flag rules. Play is divided into 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade. PAL Commissioners will attempt to put rosters together based on schools. Practice will be held once per week with a game on Saturday mornings, and the season will start the weekend of September 7th. Westport may participate with other towns such as Weston, Wilton and Fairfield.

Westport PAL Football and the Fairfield County Football League (FCFL) are excited to announce a Travel Flag Football league for 3rd and 4th graders. Travel Flag Football will use Flag football rules and wear full equipment; helmets, shoulder pads, football pants and game jerseys. (Tackling is not allowed, flags are pulled to down ball carriers). Teams will compete against other FCFL town teams with modified field size and FCFL referees. Travel Flag Football will be for players interested in a more competitive football experience where coaches will be teaching safe football fundamentals and key skills such as throwing, catching, ball carrying and blocking techniques. Certified coaches will conduct practices in accordance with PAL curriculum and fundamentals. PAL may cap registration at 2 teams per grade and hold evaluations to select rosters. Teams will practice twice per week with a game on the weekends. (PAL will make efforts to avoid conflicts with travel soccer).Note: there will be no Tackle football option for 3rd and 4th graders.
Westport PAL Football and the Fairfield County Football League will continue to offer our traditional tackle football program for 5th-8th graders in the 2021 season. Pre-season will begin on Monday, August 16th this year, continuing with 2 weeks of pre-season of practices with the FCFL Jamboree taking place on the weekend of August 28st/August 29, the regular season running 8 weeks with single elimination playoffs to follow. To ensure a great experience for every player, we may cap the number of rostered players per grade and hold evaluations to select the rosters. Teams will practice 3 days per week with a game on the weekend.
